Stissing Lake House gives you a private home base for the weekend: six bedrooms, five bathrooms, space for up to 15 guests, an optional two-bedroom Guest Cottage, a restaurant kitchen, plenty of room to get ready and gather, and a lakefront setting for photographs and downtime between events.

And when it's time to leave for Stissing House, you're four minutes away.

Friday: Everyone Arrives

Instead of sending parents, siblings and the wedding party to different hotels across the Hudson Valley, bring everyone together.

The Main House has six bedrooms and five bathrooms and sleeps up to 15. If you need more space—or want to give parents or another part of the family some privacy—the separate two-bedroom, two-bath Guest Cottage may also be available.

Unpack. Put the Champagne in the refrigerator. Take a swim. Sit on the dock. Let everyone settle in.

And if you're planning a rehearsal dinner or welcome gathering, talk to us about hosting it at the lake.

Our restaurant kitchen has a six-burner Jade range and is designed for serious cooking, whether you're bringing in a private chef or caterer or cooking yourselves.

Saturday Morning: Get Ready Without the Hotel-Suite Scramble

This is where having a house really matters.

There's room for breakfast and coffee, hair and makeup, dresses and suits, photographers, parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen—and everyone else who somehow ends up in the room.

With five bathrooms and multiple bedrooms and gathering spaces, people can spread out rather than competing for mirrors and outlets in one hotel suite.

Your photographer can come to you, and there's no need to find another location for portraits.

Step outside and you have the lake, docks, lawn, gardens, wraparound porch, Victorian house and Stissing Mountain as backdrops for getting-ready photographs, family portraits and a first look.

Saturday: Getting to Stissing House

Here's the easy part.

Stissing House is 1.2 miles away—about a four-minute drive via Lake Road and South Main Street.

That means you're not building an extra 30 or 40 minutes of travel into an already busy day.

Depending on your plans, guests can drive or you can arrange transportation for the group. We can also help point you toward local transportation options.

Then go get married.

Sunday: Don't Let Everyone Disappear Yet

One of the nicest things about having everyone under one roof is that the wedding doesn't abruptly end when the reception does.

The next morning, come downstairs in pajamas, make coffee and replay the night before.

Or invite additional family and friends back for a morning-after brunch by prior arrangement.

The restaurant kitchen makes catering or cooking easy, and brunch can spill onto the porch and lawn overlooking the lake.

No restaurant reservation. No coordinating everyone from different hotels.

And if the weather cooperates, somebody will probably end up in the lake.

Yes, with advance arrangement. The house has a restaurant kitchen with a six-burner Jade range.

Can we host our rehearsal dinner here?

Smaller rehearsal dinners can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Tell us how many people you're considering and what you're envisioning.

Can we host brunch the morning after?

Yes, by prior arrangement. It's one of our favorite ways to use the house during a wedding weekend.

How do we get everyone to Stissing House?

It's only 1.2 miles away—approximately four minutes by car. If you'd prefer group transportation, we can help point you toward local options.

What if we need more than six bedrooms?

Ask about availability of the separate two-bedroom, two-bath Guest Cottage.

Can people who aren't staying at the house come over?

For approved wedding-related gatherings, yes. We simply need to know your plans and guest count in advance.
